Therapy for Anxiety and Trauma
FIND PEACE OF MIND THROUGH compassionate care
Some days, it feels like you’re running on empty, trying to juggle the demands of work, family, and life. It’s not just the stress and pure exhaustion that weighs you down—it’s the fear of failing those you care about the most. There is also the pressing feeling of losing your old self, who you were before so much changed in your life.
You might be asking yourself, ‘Why is this so hard for me?’ or ‘Why can’t I just move on?’ You might feel overwhelmed or even blame yourself, but those feelings are a normal response to everything you’ve been through. It’s okay to feel stuck, but it’s also okay to seek support. You don’t have to face this all on your own.
Every step you take toward healing brings you closer to the life you deserve
Feeling overwhelmed often stems from deeper concerns, like unresolved trauma or fear of not having control. These feelings can ripple into every part of your life, making it hard to be truly present at home or work. But through individual therapy, you’ll learn to deeply understand your emotions and patterns and discover new ways of walking through even the most challenging days. Together, we’ll untangle these deeper layers and find your path to healing.
Helping you build a life of intention with individually tailored therapy.
The goal of individual therapy is to empower you, especially for those experiencing symptoms of anxiety or trauma. Together, we’ll focus on integrating evidence-based practices including mindfulness and attachment-based EMDR, to help you experience more joy, peace, and agency in your life. With consistent effort, you’ll notice not only improvements in your management of stressors, but in your relationships too. My role is to guide you through the process, so that you feel safe and supported. Sessions are tailored to your unique history, circumstances, and needs, allowing for the most effective outcome.
how therapy works
-
Your journey begins with a free 15-minute consultation where we’ll discuss your goals for therapy. This conversation helps us determine if we’re the right fit and ensures that you feel confident moving forward. Together, we’ll identify your immediate needs, and answer any questions you may have. By the end of our meeting, you’ll have clarity on how we’ll work together and feel ready to take the first step.
-
During our first session, we’ll dive deeper into your story and begin to identify key challenges and patterns, as well as strengths. This is a time for you to begin to share your experiences and concerns in a safe and non-judgmental space. We will be getting to know each other too, and outlining what to expect in upcoming sessions.
-
We’ll collaborate to create a personalized roadmap for your therapy experience. Together, we’ll prioritize your areas of concern and establish meaningful, achievable goals. This process allows us to measure progress and adjust our focus with flexibility to meet your evolving needs.
-
Our ongoing sessions are a collaborative process where we’ll address your challenges and celebrate your progress. Sessions are weekly and designed to adapt to your changing needs. By consistently focusing on your growth, we’ll help you develop resilience and achieve lasting change.
questions you may have
-
My clients have had great success in addressing their needs, including trauma reprocessing through EMDR, using video sessions. They enjoy being in the safety and comfort of their own home, as well as the accessibility and convenience telehealth provides. Plus, I will give you extra tips on how to maximize your telehealth experience.
-
Many clients spend around six months to one year in therapy, while others benefit from longer term support to address more complex layers to their concerns. There is not a one size fits all answer, rather, we can collaborate to lay out the best plan for you and your unique needs.
-
You’ll never be forced to talk about any particular issue or event in your life. In fact, I aim for your experience to be one of safety and empowerment. You get to choose what you discuss, disclose, and what we focus on.
